Oversized Business Card Stand

My wife has a side photography business, and instead of regular business cards she made photo collages on 4 x 6 prints. However, she cannot find holders for this size. So I had to attempt to make
one.

Cut two pieces of quarter inch material to 6 1/8 inches long.

Rip a piece for the back at 4 ¼ inches wide.

Rip another piece for the bottom at 2 3/8 inches wide.

Cut some ¼ inch by ¼ inch strip and glue it to the bottom for extra gluing surface. Trim each end at a 45 degree angle.

Cut a ¼ inch wide by 1/8 inch deep rabbet along the long side.

Glue the back to the bottom in the rabbet.

Mark the side on the ¼ inch material. I used the side off a cardboard mock-up I made

Attach two sides using carpet tape and cut them simultaneously.

Glue the first side by standing the unit on end.

Turn the piece horizontal and shim until it is level. Glue the other side.

Sand and finish as desired.
